Ingrid Heijne gives a presentation about co-creation at symposium on May 12

The development of the office environment
On Tuesday evening, May 12, 2026, Architectenweb, in collaboration with YNNO and Pakhuis de Zwijger, is organizing a symposium on the development of more emphatically organizing office environments on mutual cooperation. This development requires a transformation of the familiar activity-related work and a better understanding of the ways in which people work together in the office.
Presentation about co-creation
Ingrid Heijne will give a presentation about co-creation in the design of Miro HQ, discussing how collaboration between different disciplines and stakeholders has enriched the design process and led to innovative solutions. Other speakers include Nick Lettink and Aize Oenema (YNNO), Lonneke Leijnse (Heyligers Architects) and Hans Reineke (Hollandse Nieuwe).
In the past ten years, when implementing activity-related work, a lot of attention has been paid to the design of the shared spaces, such as the entrance, the restaurant, the meeting rooms and the famous espresso bar. In the work environment itself, more and more people have been brought together in ever larger open spaces. Is that efficient use of space? Sure. This ensures open communication. Fixed. Is working there also more effectively? Maybe not. And does it make people happy? No, that does not appear to be the case.
The symposium will take place on Tuesday evening, May 12, 2026, in the Great Hall of Pakhuis de Zwijger and has the following program:
19:30 h - 20:00 h — Walk-in with coffee, tea and water
20:00 h- 21:45 h — Presentations
